You can now control whether performance data is included in your Sponsored Ads bulk operations exports. Under Include in the export modal, the Performance data checkbox is selected by default. Uncheck the Performance data checkbox to leave performance metrics out of the file. Excluding performance data can make exports faster, which is useful when you only need campaign structure and settings.

Spot invalid entries before upload in DSP bulk operations

When you download a template for Amazon DSP bulk operations, its editable columns now check your entries against their allowed values as you fill them in. If you type a value that is out of range, too long, or in the wrong format, Excel stops the entry and shows a pop-up explaining what is expected. If you paste an invalid value, the cell turns red so it is easy to spot. This helps you catch and fix errors in the template up front, instead of discovering them after you upload.

Refresh Token Expiration Policy Update

Amazon Ads API has updated its refresh token expiration policy to enhance security and align with industry best practices. Effective July 30, 2026, refresh tokens issued on or after that date expire 365 days from the date of advertiser consent. The expiration date is fixed at consent time and is not extended by token usage or refresh activity; after expiration, the advertiser must grant consent again to restore access. Refresh tokens issued before July 30, 2026 are not affected by this change and continue to function as before. They remain valid until the advertiser revokes authorization or another invalidation condition occurs. Developers should update their applications to track refresh token age from the date of advertiser consent for tokens issued on or after July 30, 2026, proactively prompt advertisers to re-authorize before the 365-day expiration, handle expired refresh token errors gracefully, and store consent date metadata alongside refresh tokens issued on or after July 30, 2026. For detailed implementation guidance, see the Refresh Tokens documentation (https://advertising.amazon.com/API/docs/en-us/guides/account-management/authorization/refresh-tokens).

Consent Update For Amazon Ads

If you transmit or make available to Amazon Ads any personal information, you must provide the country code for all data uploads globally. For data with a UK or EEA country code, you must also include a valid consent signal in addition to the country code. You must share a country code when passing customers' consented data to Amazon Ads. The country code is a 2-character string in the ISO 3166 format that indicates in which country the consent was given (for example, US, GB or DE). Data uploaded without specifying a country code will be rejected. You can either use (i) the IAB European Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF) signal(s), (ii) Global Privacy Protocol (GPP) or (iii) Amazon Consent Signal, to communicate UK and EEA users' privacy choices to Amazon Ads. Please do not send multiple signals. If multiple are provided, Amazon Ads will use TCF and ignore ACS. For detailed consent requirements by product, see Amazon Ads consent signals (https://advertising.amazon.com/help/G2KA4G8DS3K8H7JR) in the Amazon Ads Support Centre - Before You Begin section.

Global Creative workflow for Display Creatives

We're excited to announce a significant improvement to Amazon DSP's creative management capabilities as we introduce a new Global Creative workflow for 'Standard Display' creatives that eliminates the need to upload identical creatives multiple times for different marketplaces. There is no change to other creative types (Video, Audio, or Component Based, including ASIN-based creative templates). Global Creatives will allow advertisers with an Advertiser Account (beta) to define display creatives once per region instead of once per marketplace, wherever the creative's language is supported. Both Standard Display and HTML5 Ad Experiences are supported. For other legacy DSP advertiser accounts, the marketplace field will no longer be required, but the creative may only be used with their existing marketplace and the creative language must be targetable from their marketplace. For more information see: Creative Management: Standard Display - Business Validation Rules (https://advertising.amazon.com/API/docs/en-us/guides/dsp/creative-management#business-validation-rules-2).

Unified APIs: Campaign Management API now generally available

Amazon Ads has launched a single Campaign Management API to unify campaign management into one set of APIs. Built from a common Amazon Ads data model, this API standardizes field and enum values across ad products and features, improves error handling, and helps resource consistency across Campaign, Ad Group, Target, and Ad objects. This API includes feature parity with the existing APIs. Previously, there were nearly 200 separate variations of create, read, update, and delete endpoints that will be reduced to 16 with this launch. Today, we announce the completion of Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Amazon DSP for worldwide general availability. All of our ad products will be available through the Amazon Ads Campaign Management API, and we will have Sponsored Display and Sponsored TV later this year. To get started, please see the Campaign Management Overview (https://advertising.amazon.com/API/docs/en-us/guides/campaign-management/overview).

Make data-driven decisions with new benchmarks from Amazon Ads

Amazon Ads introduces new benchmarks, which are self-service insights that enable advertisers to evaluate brand category performance across different ad formats and campaign goals. Advertisers can use benchmarks to optimize current campaigns and plan their next strategic investments based on competitive insights. Through these new expanded capabilities including sophisticated peer brand matching and transparent methodology, advertisers can instantly understand what performance looks like in their category and make data-driven decisions about their advertising investments. Benchmarks reports will be available as new report types in the existing Offline Reporting API, with a new report for DSP (dspBenchmarks) and a separate new report for Sponsored Ads programs (crossProgramBenchmarks). The new report types will be available in the current Public Reporting API (https://advertising.amazon.com/API/docs/en-us/guides/reporting/v3/overview). Users can generate the new reports by passing Benchmarks specific parameters into the existing Reporting API they are familiar with.

New reporting API now in open beta

The new reporting API, now available in open beta, provides programmatic access to Amazon Ads performance data. Part of Amazon Ads API v1, it follows the common model and includes: Multi-dimensional Reporting - 'Report Types' are no longer required as in V3 API. Combine previously separate dimensions (e.g., Geo x Technology) to create customized insights that match your business needs. Cross-Ad Product Reporting - Create reports spanning different ad products and campaign types for a consolidated view of advertising performance that remains consistent as ad products evolve. Cross-Account Reporting - Generate a single unified report across all accessible accounts, ideal for customers managing multiple ad accounts. This release also introduces standardized metric names, definitions, and terminology across ad products. Together, these enhancements provide greater data flexibility and a more unified reporting experience.
Drive top-of-search visibility and engagement by reserving branded share of voice through Sponsored Brands

Amazon is launching a new Sponsored Brands feature, reserve share of voice, which enables advertisers to secure top-of-search (TOS) Sponsored Brands placements for branded keywords at a fixed, upfront price. By reserving branded keywords, advertisers ensure that their ad will appear on Sponsored Brands top of search placement for those branded queries most of the time. With this feature, brands can count on predictable presence to boost brand visibility on top of search and shoppers can engage with branded content matching their queries. The solution is fully self-service to give advertisers flexibility, autonomy, and transparency. The solution enables advertisers to receive recommendations for high traffic branded keywords, validate keywords, receive real-time pricing, launch and manage campaigns directly through the Advertising Console or API, and receive automated invoices. To get started, see the Reserve share of voice (https://advertising.amazon.com/API/docs/en-us/guides/sponsored-brands/targeting/reserve-share-of-voice) developer guide.

Amazon DSP's Commitments Hub provides customers with a centralized place to manage their spending agreements with publishers (commitments). These new tools simplify tracking pacing, automatically optimize campaign spend, and accelerate spend analysis. Commitments are available via console and API for all self-service advertisers in all markets where Amazon DSP operates. The Commitments API allows you to create and manage commitments with various properties including commitment name, committed spend amount, currency code, start and end dates, fulfillment level, and spend calculation mode. You can link commitments to entities, advertisers, campaigns, and deals, and track spend accrual across these relationships.
